Client Cancellations
There is a 14-day cancellation period for all departures. Any cancellations made within 14 days of departure will result in the complete forfeiture of the ticket price.
Cancellations made outside this time frame will be refunded in full, minus any applicable credit card or administration fees.
If you have booked through a travel agent or third party, you will be bound by their cancellation policy, which may have longer notice periods.
If you have been approved to move your travel date and you are within the 14-day cancellation period, a $50 per person transfer fee may apply.
Operator Cancellations
In rare cases, Ocean Voyager Pty Ltd may need to cancel or stand down a tour or charter due to adverse weather conditions, safety concerns, or unforeseen operational circumstances (for example, mechanical issues or government restrictions).
If a tour is cancelled by the operator prior to departure, guests will receive a full refund of the ticket price, minus any applicable credit card fees. No additional compensation will be payable.
Illness Policy
You may be refused boarding if you display any of the following symptoms or conditions flu-like symptoms (including fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath), you have tested positive for, or have been in close contact with, a confirmed case of Covid-19, or you are feeling unwell or medically unfit to travel.
If you experience any of the above close to your departure date, please contact us as soon as possible. Guests who are unwell should not attempt to travel.
No refunds will be given for cancellations within our 14-day cancellation period. However, Ocean Voyager Pty Ltd is happy to provide a supporting letter for travel insurance claims.
We strongly recommend that all guests have comprehensive travel insurance that covers illness, cancellations, or disruptions, including Covid-related circumstances.
Pregnancy Policy
Pregnant guests are only permitted to travel upon request and with prior written approval from Ocean Voyager Pty Ltd.
Pregnant guests must provide a valid doctor’s clearance certificate stating they are fit to travel by sea.
Travel is generally only permitted up to 6 months (24 weeks) of pregnancy.
The skipper and operator reserve the right to deny boarding on the day of departure if weather conditions are deemed unsafe for a pregnant guest.
Refunds will not be issued if boarding is refused for safety reasons.
The safety of all passengers and crew is our highest priority.
Minimum Age Policy
Minimum Age is 6 years old. Children ages 6-15 years must be booked into a private cabin. Anyone ages 16+ can be booked into an open single.
On request and family of four may be able to book in the open shared area.
Children travel on this tour at full adult rates. Please advise any child ages at the time of booking.
Itinerary & Weather Conditions
The Whitsundays are subject to tropical and changeable weather conditions.
Your itinerary is highly weather-dependent and will be decided by the skipper 1–2 days prior to each departure to ensure the best possible experience and passenger comfort.
Ocean Voyager Pty Ltd does not cancel tours due to rain, cloud, or strong winds. Tours will only be cancelled or rescheduled if the Regional Harbour Master closes the area, or the vessel’s skipper deems the weather unsafe for travel.
The operator and crew reserve the right to vary itineraries for safety, comfort, or operational reasons, and to substitute vessels at any time if required.
Ticket Terms
All prices are per person in AUD and include GST (excluding administration fees). Prices are based on shared accommodation unless otherwise specified.
Prices include a professional skipper and crew, liveaboard accommodation, all meals, fresh linen, and the use of snorkelling gear, wetsuits, and/or stinger suits.
Prices do not include airfares, transfers, or accommodation before or after your cruise.
Guests are welcome to BYO alcohol to enjoy responsibly on board.
Due to the Whitsundays’ tropical climate, inclement weather can occur, particularly during the wet season (December to May).
Health & Safety Disclaimer
Adventure sailing involves inherent risks. While every effort is made to ensure the safety of all guests, Ocean Voyager Pty Ltd cannot be held responsible for any damage, injury, illness, or loss resulting from actions outside of its control.
At certain times of year, dangerous jellyfish inhabit Whitsunday waters. Guests entering the water do so at their own risk. The owners and operators of Whitsunday Blue will not be liable for any injury, illness, death, or other consequence arising from marine stings or bites.
For your safety, full-length stinger suits are provided for all guests to wear while swimming or snorkelling.
Liability
Ocean Voyager Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or consequential loss suffered by any passenger as a result of participating in any sailing activity, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
The operator reserves the right to substitute vessels at any time, refuse boarding to any person deemed unfit, intoxicated, or unsafe to travel, and make changes to the itinerary or tour schedule due to weather, safety, or operational requirements.
Special Requirements
Guests with medical conditions, mobility issues, or special dietary requirements must notify the operator at the time of booking.
Approval to travel may be required prior to departure. Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in refusal of boarding without refund in accordance with our cancellation policy.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend all passengers purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers: tour cancellations or rescheduling, medical emergencies, weather-related disruptions, lost or damaged property, and illness, including Covid-related cancellations.
We also recommend purchasing travel Insurance that covers travel delays, road closures, flight cancellations, and other unforeseen circumstances, particularly during the wet season (December to April).
Acceptance of Terms
By booking or boarding Whitsunday Adventurer, you agree to all terms and conditions outlined above by Ocean Voyager Pty Ltd.
